The ugly mugs of the people who bring you this magazine...
Editor-In-Chief
Scott J Grunewald lives in the track marks of America (LA) with
his dog Rosebud and far too many debts. You can send any monetary
donations to him at scottie_mack@hotmail.com
and he'll reward you with pictures of Andrew Wheeler doing odd
things with an Evian bottle.
Christopher
Butcher is the Columns editor. He also runs his own comic colouring
enterprise "Off Colour Digital Design". Mayhaps you've seen his
work on Caliber' BOONDOGGLE, Image Comics' SIREN, EVIL & MALICE,
or GO GIRL? He can be reached at cro2@212.net,
or via his web page at http://www.offcolour.com.
Scott
O. Brown writes comics (Broken Boy and The New Toys), runs Cyberosia
Publishing, and is PI Comics Editor at Popimage. You can reach
him at Iam@scottobrown.com.
Were you expecting wit? Punk..
You're
running, stumbling, trying to get away. Your every breath burns
as it passes through you, and your blood is like acid in the veins.
You shoot a glance over your shoulder, trying not to slow, and
see him gaining. He yells "Brad Collins, Features Editor. bcollins@vurt.net".
You close your eyes, biting back tears. It's all over.
Jonathan Ellis is the resident psycho Canadian and Interviews Editor. He likes to ask silly irrelevant questions and eat chicken. He likes good comics, and he likes good movies, if something is crap, he'll call it crap, or shit, or something else equally derogatory. He's a student, which means he's not only poor, he's in debt. He's busy most of the time but still tries to come up with something worthwhile for the PopImage crew by pestering, and in some cases, yes, threatening Comic creators. Everytime he watches THE MATRIX he thinks of whopper jr.s.
Paul Hanna is PopImage's Reviews Editor. He resides in Boston. In his spare time, he is a cartoonist. He usually looks this tired.
Chad
Riden's lifelong love of art and broadcasting led him to work
as a graphic artist for WVLT-TV. This career choice naturally
led him to a life of poverty and partial insanity. Apparently
fueled by the latter result (and in spite of the former) he joined
the staff of PopImage as Webmaster in search of additional work
for no pay. His parents now tell their friends and relatives he
is in state prison to avoid telling the embarrassing truth. If
you write to: chadmriden@yahoo.com,
he'll just make fun of you. Please don't encourage him.
Andrew Wheeler was born in a town described by The Great Beast as a doorway to hell. His father inteviewed people who subsequently got assassinated, and once convinced the world that spaghetti grows on trees. His mother was raised by gravediggers, and deconsecrates tombs for fun. Andrew works in the City of London, where he disseminates newspeak for the Queen and Mickey Mouse. As Editorial Consultant, he sits at the Editor's left hand. You would too, if you knew what Scott did with his right hand.
Gregory Dickens, a Staff Writer for PopImage, owes much of his vocabulary, ethics, posture and fashion sense to 25 years of super hero comics. Residing in South Carolina, Gregory writes a monthly comics column for his hometown newspaper and relishes his 3-reader-strong audience. He also loves professional wrestling, but since he's a native of S.C., that should shock no one.
Francis Lord hopes to God his feature "Libraria" will be finished by Summer 2000. He is a staff writer at PopImage.
Staff
Writer Antony Johnston is a long-time comic reader and reviewer.
A professional graphic designer, he occupies the rather smug ground
of being able to proclaim, "I actually do know quite a bit about
art, AND I know what I like." Which he often does. Loudly. An
international author, Antony currently lives and works at the
bottom of a valley in England with only Foetus albums for company.
On good days he can actually remember his own name. Email Antony
at antony@mostlyblack.co.uk.
For more of his unsavoury rants, visit http://www.mostlyblack.co.uk/
Joe Szilagyi was born in Romania and smuggled into the United States inside a coffee can. Joe lives in a villa and spends his days reading comics and plotting daring assassinations. Joe actually writes nothing in his staff writer position; doped-up colobus monkees wearing revealing evening wear do all the work.
Matt Fogel makes pretty pictures. Without him, this site would be much less attractive. This is not what he looks like, but it was too cool to pass up.
