Six of One: Rick Veitch
Contrary to popular belief the world of dreams is not controlled by a bug eyed blonde kid with a bag of sand. It is in fact controlled by the last person anyone would suspect, the dreamwriter Rick Veitch.

For years Rick has walked the dreams of people all over and passed what he encountered onwards in the form of his dream diaries like the RARE BIT FIENDS collection. In the world of the waking he is better known for his KING HELL HEROICA stories, THE MAXIMORTAL and BRATPACK both of which depict superheroes in a non too kind way.
Now if you will excuse me, I am tired and must sleep, perchance to dream. Yours truly, Mr. Six.

Which animal do you think will be the dominant species once humans are killed off in ritual mass suicide?

Humans are not going to be killed off in ritual mass suicide. They are going to get in touch with the true multi-dimensional nature of reality through their dreams and with the aid of mind/computer links and be able to move between the possible worlds at will.

Favorite drug-addled author?

Arni Gunnars.

Which sales gimmick really turns your stomach?

Television.

Which is the best comic-inspired movie, by your standards?

A CLOCKWORK ORANGE.

If there were Comic Olympics, what event would you be in?

Deadline making.

Who's your favourite giant monkey?

Jesse Ventura

Hangover remedy of choice?

Don't drink.

When was the last time drugs excited you?

I had a cup of coffee this morning and got quite buzzed thank you.

Most underrated comic creator?

Alexander Zograf

How do you feel your current work adds to the comics industry?

RARE BIT FIENDS is a true art comic, so it doesn't do much for the industry. Makes a nice statement about the form though.

Favorite background music you use when you work.

Jazz

What would you do to a fanboy who gets on your nerves?

I'm unfailingly polite, but then slip away at the first chance.

Least favored place on earth?

Stumped on this one.

If you were to chose one character out of the King Hell Heroica, which one would you be?

El Guano.

What will it take to get the King Hell Heroica back on track?

When there is a fair and equitable distribution system bringing good comics to an appreciative and growing audience.
