From
the PopImage Staff.
It's a new year - and a new look - for PopImage.
As PopImage enters its second calendar year,
we've taken the opportunity to do a little home decor and buff
up the fixtures and fittings. Our PROFILE
this month deals with the work of STARMAN artist Peter Snejberg,
plus we have a special feature on independent publishers Oni Press
in INDUSTRIAL. There's
also an insight into the world of crime comics, and an introduction
to Andi Watson's excellent GEISHA.
Our new INTERVIEWS
section includes talks with Marc Andreyko, Scott Cunningham, Jason
Little, Mark Wieringo, and DC Vertigo editor Axel Alonso. In GUTTER
PRESS, we look to the future in Beyond, and, for your
listening pleasure, provide the perfect musical accompaniment
to Ennis and Dillon's PREACHER.
Our REVIEWS
section includes reviews of POKEMON, NEVADA, and ASTRONAUTS IN
TROUBLE, plus a retrospective on Art Spiegelman's Pulitzer Prize-winning
MAUS: A SURVIVOR'S TALE. ATTITUDE
includes musings on storytelling, risk-taking, and the death of
comics, plus some "angry social commentary" from Steve Stegelin,
whose acclaimed BOONDOGGLE strip makes a welcome return to Pi
COMICS this month.
We've made a New Year's Resolution. PopImage
is determined to keep bringing you the very best in interviews,
reviews, original features and comic book commentary every month.
If you keep reading, we'll keep the good stuff coming.
