José Villarrubia has risen to prominence in the industry thanks to his unique, beautiful comibinations of traditional comics illustration with photo-collage and mixed-media work. His recent work on ABC Comics' PROMETHEA #7 caused quite a stir thanks to it's haunting realism. PopImage is proud to present José himself, explaining how he creates his work, and how in particular he created one of the most powerful images in the book.
