PRESS RELEASE: Folsom is Hard to Swallow!
Posted Tuesday, September 23, 2008 by Dan Coyle.

From writer/artist Justin Hall (http://www.allthumbscomics.com)

Hard To Swallow #4, the latest in the line of edgy, gay erotic comics created by me and Dave Davenport, is debuting this weekend, for the Folsom Street Fair! We're really excited about the issue, as it's bigger than ever (72 pages this time), has some of the best stories of werewolves, pirates, and porn stars that Dave and I have done so far, and features a piece by amazing guest-cartoonist Brad Rader (http://www.flamingartist.com).

The release party will be held at the Isotope Comics Lounge (http://isotopecomics.com) at 326 Fell St. (@ Gough) from 7-11pm on Friday, September 26th… Isotope is known for throwing the best bacchanalias in the comics world, and their store will be full of raunchy comics, booze, loose men and brash women, weak-willed cartoonists, and the saucy tunes of DJ Bearzbub (http://bearzbub.livejournal.com)

Two days later, Dave and I head to the Folsom Street Fair, where we'll be selling Hard To Swallow #4, along with many other indecent comics and art, at our booth at Folsom’s Artists’ Alley on 10th St. between Folsom and Harrison. Look for us all day at the Fair.

If you can't come to these events, Hard To Swallow #4 will be available soon on the website (http://www.hardtoswallowcomics.com) and in the stores. For more info on the party and our Folsom plans, check out my website as well.

This will be my last Hard To Swallow as co-creator/co-publisher... I'm handing over the book to Dave, though I'll still be involved as an occasional contributor. It's been a wonderful ride, especially working with someone as talented as Dave, and getting to know the strange and beautiful people involved in the world of queer, erotic arts. But I'm done drawing pirate penises for a while, and am excited to get back to my other projects... More about those soon!
