PROFILE: Scott McCloud
A thorough Career Examination

PopImage is proud to present this month's ProFile Creator, Scott McCloud. Known primarily for his groundbreaking works about the comic industry, UNDERSTANDING COMICS and REINVENTING COMICS, Scott is a talented creator whose work on everything from the creator-owned ZOT! to corporate icon Superman in SUPERMAN ADVENTURES has made him respected industry-wide. A constant innovator, his work has progressed into the digital realm with ZOT! ONLINE, and with a monthly column in the same format as UNDERSTANDING COMICS called I CAN'T STOP THINKING! We're also presenting an original article by one of the staff who interviewed McCloud this month, Albert Boime, about the place of Comics as Art in Western Society, that we think will be of particular interest to fans of McCloud's work.
